Last week, Microsoft started selling the year old HP Elite x3 with support for Verizon Wireless, something many Windows phone fans on Verizon have been holding out for for quite some time. Problem is, the Verizon Wireless model of the Elite x3 came a year too late, after Microsoft confirmed Windows 10 Mobile is no longer a focus for the company.

So we want to know, are you even interested in an HP Elite x3 that supports Verizon Wireless? Many Windows phone fans are done with the platform now that Microsoft has confirmed it isn't focused on bringing any new hardware of consumer features to devices. The Verizon Elite x3 is a device aimed primarily at business customers, so are consumers interested?

It is the only opportunity VZ windows phone users have to be able to use the platform until the end of support for it which should come some time in 2019. To me, this fulfilled the hope of a lot of VZW US windows phone users. Lastly even though a year late, at least HP did it. Microsoft did not even aim in that direction it seems.

Users on the Windows Central forum are already talking about this very topic, whether the Elite x3 on Verizon is worth the $599 price tag and if you should buy it. Buying any Windows phone in 2017 would be a crazy idea considering Microsoft itself has put Windows 10 Mobile in "end of life" mode, where the only updates the platform is expected to receive are minor enterprise related features and security patches/bug fixes.

Of course, if you aren't looking for new features or new app updates when it comes to your smartphone, Windows 10 Mobile is still a great option. It still has the best home screen experience of any mobile platform, a great notifications center and continues to perform great on the Snapdragon 820. The problem I have is the HP Elite x3 is a year old, rocking specs from last year, and is on sale for $599. That's expensive for a year-old device.

So make sure you head to our forums and let us know your thoughts on Windows 10 Mobile and the HP Elite x3 on Verizon Wireless!
