Chime in: What does your dream custom Xbox One look like?

Custom gaming hardware is becoming increasingly accessible across the Xbox One family, with various consoles and accessories available directly through Microsoft. While special edition controllers from Microsoft offer some truly outstanding designs, programs like Xbox Design Lab provide a truly personal twist to the standard controller.

While Microsoft offers its own range of official custom consoles, the closed nature of the platform means there's little flexibility beyond the paint job. While incremental upgrades like the Xbox One X and Xbox One S provide more options, there's still not the benefits seen on open platforms like PC. It might not be likely but one Windows Central forum user pitched a unique idea – a modular Xbox One with configurable hardware and cosmetics.

Let's assume for a moment that MS offered the XBox like how Dell used to let you configure a desktop computer. So you can have the prebuilt versions, or on a site on MS, you can configure a build that you can make your own. What would you guys want to see? Custom skins for the casing? Choices in the GPU? More than 2 choices in storage?

As always, we want to hear your thoughts on the topic. Would you like to see a configurable range of Xbox One consoles? Or does the simplicity of the system define Xbox for you? Drop into the forum thread linked below and let us know what you think.
