Earlier this week, I posted my full XPS 15 2-in-1 (9575) review. The newest addition to Dell's growing XPS line takes the existing XPS 15 and gives it a flippy hinge to let it turn into a tablet. It's a large tablet, but it is still a fun laptop.

If reading isn't your thing (we're not judging, but we totally are), we just completed our deep dive video review (above).

The XPS 15 2-in-1 (9575) is a 15.6-inch laptop with a svelte hinge mechanism that lets it swing around 360 degrees. It features Dell's brilliant Infinity Edge display – in full HD or 4K – both with touch, anti-glare, 400-nits of brightness, and very high color accuracy.

Two things in particular make the XPS 15 2-in-1 (9575) unique:

  1. The G-series Intel 8th Gen processor.
  2. The mag-lev keyboard.

The CPU on this laptop is a Core i5 or Core i7 quad-core, but in the 45W range of performance (versus ULV processors in Ultrabooks and the Surface Book 2). Instead of Intel HD graphics, though, it has native AMD Radeon built on the same chipset – which is a first.

The mag-lev keyboard uses magnets to let the keys bounce back up.

The one weak spot of this 2-in-1 is the battery life, which is acceptable, but not great. Nonetheless, it's a fascinating device with a solid build.

Finally, there is an all-black version of this laptop, and we happen to have one on order. So look for a follow-up video in the coming weeks to see how it compares.
