Feeding Frenzy-like 'Hungry Shark World' launches on Xbox One [updated]

Today, Ubisoft announced that Hungry Shark World is coming to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4 on July 17, 2018 for $9.99. The publisher also confirmed that the title would support Xbox One X and feature a higher resolution than its base version. The title is specifically made for consoles as it features optimized gamepad controls and enhanced visuals over its Android and iOS counterparts.

Updated July 19, 2018: Hungry Shark World isn't listed as Xbox One X Enhanced at the moment despite Ubisoft's statement. It might take a few days for that to change as it may require another update.

Are you a fan of the Feeding Frenzy games on Xbox 360? Well, Hungry Shark World is a similar experience. Developed by Ubisoft's "Future Games of London" studio, Hungry Shark World lets players rise through the ranks of the food chain, starting as a small shark with a little bite and progressing into the meanest predator in the ocean. Just like Feeding Frenzy, players must eat as much as they can to take on a variety of fearsome bosses, including grotesque goblin sharks, prehistoric creatures, and deadly giant squids.

According to the company, Hungry Shark World introduces four unique worlds to explore such as tropical islands, submerged temples, vast cities, and frozen icebergs. There are also over 250 missions and twenty unique sharks to upgrade. The most surprising part is that each shark has its own personality so you can probably find one that you like the most. The levels also have secret areas filled with unique enemies and treasure.

If you want a break between those heavy-hitters like The Crew 2, be sure to give Hungry Shark World a go. It's surprising addictive!
