What we know about Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite was first unveiled at E3 2018, as a part of Microsoft's annual Xbox press conference. While details on the project are scarce, its debut was paired with a conceptual trailer, showcasing 343 Industries' new Slipspace Engine in action. Then, during E3 2019, a second trailer was shown that gave us another look at the engine's power.

Halo Infinite is expected to fall under the "Reclaimer Saga" – a series of Halo games outlined by 343 Industries, following the events of Halo 3. We can expect Halo Infinite to further explore the relationship between the Master Chief and Cortana, after the open ending of Halo 5: Guardians. The premise of its narrative is unclear, aside from various teasers were laced throughout the original reveal trailer. The latest trailer from E3 2019 suggests there will also be a brand new character in the mix, too: a stranded Pelican pilot, desperately hoping to get back to his family. The trailer implies that he will be a companion of Master Chief in the game.
