Hulu brings VR content to Windows Mixed Reality headsets

Microsoft officially added support for Windows Mixed Reality headsets with the launch of the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and a host of apps for the platform are beginning to pop up in the Microsoft Store. One major new addition is Hulu VR, an immersive app that Hulu has announced is now available in the Microsoft Store.

Hulu VR comes with a couple of different experiences on hand. You can use the app to watch Hulu's lineup of standard 2D shows in your choice of immersive VR spaces, which include a movie theater and a tropical beach setting, among others. Far more interesting, however, is Hulu's lineup of more than 85 pieces of VR content.

As part of the launch, Hulu and Microsoft are debuting a couple of pieces of new VR content that will be available exclusively to Windows Mixed Reality headset users for the next 30 days. The first, called The Driver, lets you experience racing around a NASCAR track with Jeffrey Earnhardt. A Curious Mind, on the other hand, takes you on an "immersive journey into the Earth's most mind-blowing scientific concepts and phenomenon" with The Lord of the Rings star Dominic Monaghan. You can check out trailers for both below.

If you're down to give Hulu VR a shot, you can grab the app for your Windows Mixed Reality headset on the Microsoft Store now.
