If you're an EA Access subscriber, you can now dive into Mass Effect: Andromeda as part of your subscription. If you're a PC gamer, Andromeda is available to play as part of EA's Origin Access subscription as well. The game is the latest to join a growing lineup of EA games that subscribers can play for $4.99 per month.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has had a storied history since its launch in March of 2017, to say the least. The game was largely panned at release due to a plague of janky animations and some general gameplay problems. The resulting damage was enough to taint perceptions of the game and reportedly lead BioWare and EA to put the franchise on hiatus. Still, most of Andromeda's major issues have been patched and fixed in the months since release, and it should make for a fun romp if you know what you're getting into.

Andromeda will remain playable in its entirety for free so long as you're a subscriber to EA Access or Origin Access, just like other games in the vault. If you want to give the service a shot, it also includes a number of other titles, like Unravel and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Members also get special perks, like early access demos for new titles and discounts on EA games. And if you're into the Dead Space series, EA is also gearing up to add Dead Space 3 to the vault soon.

To get started with EA access, you can subscribe for $4.99 per month on the Xbox Store. PC gamers can similarly subscribe to Origin Access online..
