State of Decay 2: Collector's Edition contains a zombie mask and other gory items [updated]

Today, Microsoft announced another option for consumers who want to get State of Decay 2. The State of Decay 2: Collector's Edition costs $69.99 and comes with a zombie mask, SteelBook case, SteelBook "brain" stand, patch, and "thumb-drive". These gory items will surely lighten up anyone's day!

State of Decay 2 should launch on May 22, 2018 for Xbox One and Windows 10 as an Xbox Play Anywhere experience. According to Microsoft, the game will also be available at launch on Xbox Game Pass. The company confirmed a price point of $29.99 for the standard version and $49.99 for an ultimate edition.

Aside from that, developer Undead Labs confirmed that there are no plans to add microtransactions to the game even though the title starts at $29.99. Despite the fact that there are no plans at the moment, microtransactions might be added in the future to sustain development.

State of Decay 2 is a co-op multiplayer game which forces you to survive in the wake of a zombie apocalypse. Players have to work together, build bases, and form communities if they wish to survive in this hostile land. The first game — despite the fact that it suffered from numerous performance issues — garnered a significant following. Hopefully the game will be a polished experience when it launches in a few months.

Updated March 13, 2018: Microsoft clarified that State of Decay 2: Collector's Edition doesn't include a copy of the game.
