Where to buy PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds digitally on Xbox One

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG), this year's smash hit in PC gaming, is making its console debut with an exclusive Xbox One release via the Xbox Game Preview program. Following its announcement back in June, a near-identical experience has been ported to Microsoft's console family, promising to deliver its tense 1 vs 100 gameplay in the living room.

With PUBG's Xbox One release set for December 12, the game is seeing a staggered midnight release relative to time zones for each region. However, unlike most releases, Microsoft has stated that preorders won't be available for the game digitally, due to its in-progress state. As a result, the game must be purchased upon release, once available in your region.

With eastern countries already getting hands-on, a store listing for the digital version has arisen, giving keen players a place to secure the game once it unlocks in your region. Upon arrival, a one-hour trial will be available, alongside the option to purchase the title for $29.99. As of launch, an installation of PUBG on Xbox One reaches 5.42 GB, however, is set to change going forward with future updates.

Preorders previously went live for the game's physical release across major games retailers, offering a boxed copy of the game for $29.99. As an in-progress game, a 25-digit redeemable code is included rather than a disc, though gives the game a presence across physical stores worldwide in time for the holidays. While there are some free stickers inside the box, the two versions offer the same game content.
